Music Monday: Lorde

Whey Hey, Whats up?
Happy Monday! Okay, no it isn't a happy Monday. Why? Because it's Monday.
Yes, Monday's suck. I know. But I'm making a new series of posts on here, every Monday called 'Music Monday', which you may have guessed from the title if you have any sense at all.. (i love you)
I'm starting the first week off with one of my newest favorites in the music industry, Lorde.
Yes, you all know Lorde even if you don't think you do, you've most likely heard her hit song 'Royals' on the radio.

Being only 16, shes had huge success with her music career, just recently releasing her newest album 'Pure Heroine' which is selling quickly on iTunes.
I recently got on my iTunes store to check out some new music, and I saw that her song 'RIBS' was the single of the week which means a free download on iTunes for that week and I ended up loving the song! Before that, I had found out about her song 'Tennis Court' which is another favorite of mine.
Let me know your opinions of Lorde & which song of hers is your favorite in the comments! Also, leave some artists you'd like to see in this series!

My Favorites From This Past Summer!

It may be the middle of fall, but I'm still determined to show you guys A TON of my favorites from this summer.
So this summer has been very inspirational for me. I discovered a new style, new music, new icons, ect, and I'm so exited to share them with you!

I made this collage to show you some examples of my favorite things I'll be telling you of!
Something I was obsessed with this summer was ombrè hair, and I love this in any colors. As you can see, I have a picture of it in the collage (top left corner). I was THIS close to getting it done to my hair, but I ended up not doing it because of how hesitant I was about it. I may end up doing it another time, but for now my hair is natural colored.
I'm going to move onto beauty products and such. Just before school was out last year, I picked up a few different beauty products that I could test out for the summer.T hree of those products happened to be the Clump Crusher mascara by Cover Girl (pictured in the middle), Baby Lips (pictured top left), and the L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder (pictured on middle right). The Clump Crusher mascara lives up to its name. It doesn't clump and it makes your eyelashes look full in a natural way. As for the L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation, it looks great on skin and again, it makes it look perfectly natural. Just as if your skin was naturally flawless. It feels light, and amazing on your skin also, which is great for days you wouldn't want to wear a ton of make up and feel it caked on your face.
Clothing.. Clothing. It's the best part of summer is finally getting to embrace your true style. None of those school dress codes or anything! My style has totally changed this summer. I've gotten a more relaxed style, and I've kind of gotten off those name brands like Hollister or Aèropostale. I took a look at Brandy Melville which I have heard SO MUCH about from Youtubers, and let me just say: Oh. My. GOSH! Their clothes are amazing! I know, a lot of people don't like Brandy because of their "one size policy", but for me, being thin, I'm happy it fit me because it's an amazing store. I picked up a ton of cropped tops like the ones I have in the collage (pictured middle left) and I paired them with another summer favorite, high waist shorts (pictured in middle). I actually fell in love with vintage high waist shorts and ended up making my own. At places like thrift shops and more vintage stores, you can get high waist jeans, or "pre cut" which would just be high waist shorts, and make them your own! You can bleach them, distress them, add stitches to them-- Whatever! But I had a blast making them, and made like, 4 pairs! You can also buy them, which I forgot to mention. I also have fallen in love with my low cut white Converse shoes which were an inspiration from Harry Styles (1/5 member of One Direction). I saw them on him and thought they were really cool so I got a pair and spite how dirty they are by now, I still wear them everywhere! And lastly, flower crowns. Tumblr intorduced me to these a while ago this summer, and I never thought I'd look good in them, but I grew a love for them. I got my first two, then noticed that I didn't look half bad in it, so I got some more! I do happen to love them, and they're perfect for summer, I think.
I did wear a lot of jewelry this summer, and finally got into it. My three favorite pieces was a cat ring I got from Forever 21 (pictured middle top), a "message in a bottle" necklace I had gotten at Claires (pictured middle top), and an earring cuff that I got as a gift from Tillys (pictured middle top). I really like inspirational pieces of jewelry with crosses, hearts, keys, or Eiffel towers on a chain.
Okay, okay. #CommonWhiteGirl on the loose! Starbucks. Starbucks is one of my addicitions, and this summer was like, just crazy how much I drank strabucks! My favorite drink from there this summer was the caramel ribbon frapè, and of course every summer I love the orange-mango smoothie.
Model inspirations, there are so many! My absolute no-thought-about-it idol is Cara Delevigne (pictured top right). She has been my idol for the past year or so now. I love everything about her too, I think shes a great role model for the most part, and she beautiful, and she's herself. I think that's my favorite thing about her is that she isn't all Prada and Gucci model stereo type. She wears hoodies and jeans and she isn't afraid to go out in public like that. She also has a charming and quirky personality which is so amazing and shes a great inspiration for people to be theirselves no matter who you are.
Music is one of the biggest motivations in my life for pretty much everything. Last year I got really, and when I say "really", I mean really into music. I started out by listening to music I discovered on Tumblr like The XX, and Lana Del Rey (pictured bottom middle), but then I fell back into Paramore who I had been obsessed with when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I then found out about Panic! At The Disco (pictured bottom left), The Kooks, Matt & Kim, Marina & The Diamonds, The Neighbourhood, The 1975 (pictured top left), and I also had taken interest in a little bit of medal-core music and I gained liking of Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, & a bit of Bring Me The Horizon.
I had a great summer, got some traveling in my list, went to a One Direction concert, got to do some shopping and all the good stuff that we wait for summer! Let me know some of your favorite summer memories from this year and some of your summer 2013 favorites!

Review: One Direction Concert!

Last night, One Direction continued their 2013 Take Me Home tour in Minnesota in a stadium that holds about 27,000 people, and I got to be one of them.

So basically, this is how my day went:
at 5:30pm, I got on the light rail, downtown to where the stadium is. After getting off the light rail, which was also filled with so many Directioners, we all walked about a block, to the place the boys were performing.
So around 6pm we got to the stadium, we had to wait outside in 98 degrees, until finally getting inside at 7pm. At this point, most of us were freaking out, because we didn't think we'd make it by 7:30 which was show time.
I got inside and bought a tank top that says "Live While We're Young TMH tour 2013" on it, which I have to say, was quite pricey!
5 seconds of summer began performing at 7:30pm, which at that time, I was just entering the stadium. I went to the consessions to get a tank top at that time, then I literally ran to the bathrooms to change. Once I was changed, we went into the area where, at the time, 5SOS (One Direction's opening band) was performing. We got to out seats and enjoyed the show!
At around 8:45pm One Direction got on stage. By this point, I met the girl I was sitting by, who was my age, which was not hard to do at a One Direction concert, considering we payed to see these boys perform, and we were obviously both fans.
Once 1D came on stage, everyone started screaming, and crying, and me and the girl next to me were like, freaking out!
One Direction performed about 22 songs, including songs from Take Me Home & the deluxe, Up All Night & the deluxe, & Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus!
The boys answered 2 twitter questions which were funny! The questions were "Do a Minnesotan accent?" which the boys pernounced "Minnesotan" wrong, and allowed a girl to pronounce it for them! Lucky her!
The other question was one we all know, which was: "If you could, would you go back in time, or forward to the future?"
After the boys' performed, all 27,000 of us left! I got back on the light rail, at 12pm and it was so packed! It was unbelievable!
When I got home, I was having major post concert depression, but I'm so happy I got to go! <3

Review:
Prices: I honestly think that everything at a One Direction concert is over priced. As much as I love them, I have to say its true.
My tank top: $40.00
A Lemonaid: $7.00
Tickets: Prices varied from: $5000-$200
Programs: $20

Performance: The show was absolutely worth it! No matter how much you paid for your tickets, its all worth it because the boys perform so perfectly, and they keep the show going so smoothly!

Other than that: The show is perfect!

Comment below what the last concert you went to was, and if you have ever been to a 1D concert!
