Relaxation: yoga, bath, and how to prepare!

School, work, or whatever else it is that could be stressing you out really effects. Clear your mind.
Lately i've had a lot going on, and my head had so many thoughts and problems i needed to release.
I was recently digging through my closet and I came across my old yoga mat I haven't pulled out since I was ten (fourteen currently). Me and my mom used to strech and I'd do little streches on this yoga mat.
Anyways, I decided to give yoga another chance, and boy, I'm glad I did.
Preparation:
First I lit a candle. I wanted a relaxing scent to help me obviously relax a bit so I used the London Calling: Tea & lemons
candle from bath and body works.

Then, I rolled my yoga mat out on a flat surface in my bedroom. Using a yoga mat is helps you stay gripped in positions so you won't fall, and also helps prevent unwanted carpet burns or marks.
After, I needed sounds. Sounds are basically what get me through life. Music during everything I do helps me concentrate. But Arctic Monkeys or Coldplay weren't going to help me on this one, and I didn't have any relaxation music on my phone. So what I simply did was go to one of my favorite apps, 8tracks. (Also a website), 8tracks allows you to stream unique playlists.

I searched "yoga" on 8tracks and easily came across this track titled "Time to Relax" which was perfect for yoga in my opinion.
I played this and searched up yoga positions for beginners. This was the webpage I used and found helpful: http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/workout/yoga/poses/beginner-yoga-poses/?page=4 I picked about 6 of the poses on there and practiced them multiple times. I also added a one minute plank.
Whats the point of yoga, anyways?
Yoga helps release stress and emotions that you don't need or want. Yoga also builds muscle, tones your body, and helps you become more flexible in a less harsh way than gym equipment would, all depending on the poses you use. Although yoga benefits you more slowly than weight training would, its a healthier and more peaceful way to do it. There are multiple benefits of yoga, look them up!
Relaxing bath:
After yoga, it's always a good opportunity to sneak a warm, relaxing bath. Using essential oils, rose pedals, bath salts, and other organic and natural healing methods are very relaxing, and will help relax your muscles for future yoga, and post yoga sores.
Use scents you like and add bubbles!
Xoxo, Stef.

Fall Into Autumn!

"Why is fall so beautiful, though everything is dead?"

Already so gorgeous! The leaves have already started to change from green to orange, and I love it!

Fall, honestly is my favorite time of the year.
What are my favorite parts about autumn?
The colors, the smells, the weather, the food & of course the fashion!

So what have I done to get ready for the flames of leaves? Here are my tips to get ready for fall!

Fashion:
This year, my favorite clothing articles for autumn are beanies, over-sized knitted sweaters, & leggings! Beanies are great, whether their a skater brand like Neff, or accessorized ones from Forever 21!
Acne is an amazing brand for sweaters! Especially over-sized knitted ones! Although, it is a bit pricey! You can get similar sweaters at places like Forever 21.
And for leggings, iWearSin has an amazing amount of printed leggings, with incredible patterns and prices!

Food:
Apple & pumpkin everything with a dash of cinna mon!
A few of my favorite snacks to have in fall have to be caramel apples & apple cider! Maybe not together, that might be a little bit too much apple, but just in general, I feel like these are a couple needs to make it feel like fall! I love heading to the apple orchard to get some home made apple cider every year! Cold or warm, its perfect in the fall!
Caramel apples are just always one of my favorites! You can add anything on them like peanuts, sprinkles, or really anything else that would taste delicious!

Scents:
Autumn just isn't finished without that apple orchard smell through out your house- Even if its not natural, a candle can make your house feel cozy and absolutely perfect for fall!
My two favorite places to shop for candles are Yankee Candle, and Bath & Body Works! Their scents are so strong, yet controlled and smell so perfect!
From Bath and Body Works, the 'Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin' scented candle & the 'Autumn' scented candle are my favorites! You can usually get the matching hand soap as well!
Yankee Candle also has a very good selection of autumn candles when the time of year comes around, and one of my favorite scents from them is the 'Salted Caramel' scented candle which is amazing for autumn as well!

Fall Must Haves:
Chapstick is something that I always have with me in the fall! With the colder weather, comes dry air, and chapped lips! And we don't want that, especially if we're trying to be flirty with the guys! I always carry my Baby Lips or peppermint Softlips, and yes, I know, PEPPERMINT? Its not winter! But I love it!
To tie together with the chapstick for your lips, I always have a scented Hand and body lotion with me! A good scent for fall is Twilight Woods from Bath & Body Works!
And one more thing I carry with me in autumn is my camera! Seems like much maybe? But there are always so many breathtaking images that you need to capture with all the changing colors, and beautiful landscape, you just never know when you'll want to snap a picture of it!

Stormy Day Essentials!

Summer is filled with different weather, and when storms come around, theres not a better day to cozy up with some tea and a movie!

Here are some things to keep by your side on a stormy day:
Candles: If the power goes out, or you just want that rain smell out, use candles! My favorite scents from Bath & Body Works at the moment are: Londons Calling (tea and lemons); Pink Sangria (pink lemonaid); and Cafe Au Lait (cafe).
Flashlight: Incase the power goes out, use a flashlight. You can get free flashlight apps on smartphones.
Movies: Pick out a few of your favorite movies from Netflix! A couple of my favorites are Keith (available on Netflix), and The Twilight Saga!
Books: Storms are a good time to catch up on some reading! My all-time favorite book is The Fault in Our Stars, which I am on chapter 22. I'll admit, I was crying earlier while reading it.
Snacks: Have your favorite snacks around, like goldfish crackers, popcorn, or fruit snacks! Its okay to eat a little unhealthy every once in a while!
Drinks: On a stormy day, the best cozy drinks you can find are tea or hot cocoa.
Phone: You always need your phone. Keep it by you so you can text your friends and see whats happening! If your out of power, this is a good thing to have for light sources!
Cozy clothes: Jump into some PJs or sweats, and lounge around for the day!

Galm Your iPhone Apps!

SIf your an iPhone user, you probably get tired of the same old, same old with apps. The basic facebook icon, and that twitter icon that just never changes.

I'll show you how to glam up your icons.. For free!

[My iPhone icon page]

As you can see, on my iPhone, my alls are all spiffy looking. I have different icons for ever app, and they are all unique.

Heres how to get your icons glammed:
Step 1: download the free 'Cocoppa' app from the Apple App Store.
Step 2: You'll be asked to make an account on the 'Cocoppa' app. Easily make a account you will remember. Its free and takes only about 2 minutes!
Step 3: Once your in the app, you can start customizing. Pick an app you want to change the icon of, and open the 'cocoppa' app. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the home page of the app, and type in the name of the app your customizing. As you can see, I am customizing Youtube.

Step 4: Pick the icon you'd like to use! If there aren't any selections, the app doesn't support that application.
Step 5: Once you've chosen, and clicked the icon you want, you should be directed to a page like this:
You'll click "Set up link".
Step 6:

You will then be directed to a page like you see above. To make an application, click "app search" for the easiest option.
Step 7: Type in the name of the app you have chosen an icon for, and find the one you have. Note: you must have the original application in order to do this.
As you can see, I am using Youtube for example.
Step 8: Click the app you are making the new icon into.

Step 9: You can rename you app to whatever you want. Spice it up a little, make it your own! You can also add the gloss option to the icon, which tends to makes the icon have a little 3D effect.
You will then click 'Ok'.

 Step 10:

You'll be asked to confirm going to Safari. To continue, click 'Yes'.

Step 11: You will be directed to the safari page with the example of your application icon. There are instructions on the page to help you finish. I will still continue the tutorial, though for deeper instructions, if needed. You will start off by clicking the outbox arrow at the bottom of the screen, to open the options you see below:

Step 12: Click the middle option, that has a picture of your icon and says "add to homescreen". This will then automatically put the icon onto your iPhone screen as an application.
You can then move the icon around onto different pages, and put it into folders. You can use this as a regular app.

Heres the catch:
This icon is a shortcut to the app. This means, you cannot delete the original app, and put this one in its place. The best way to do this is to make folders lf the original applications, and put them in folders in the back of your phone. Here is how I did mine:

I have two cocoppa application folders that hold the original apps. You do not need to ever open, or move these apps if you don't want to.

I hope this helps you find a way to make your iPhone more unique.

Let me know what you think of this! Out contact info is on the right of our blog!

Keep Hydrated & Have Clear Skin: Lemon Water!

As I don't like unflavored water usually, I tend to try and find ways to stay hydrated-- With flavor!

If your like me, and you like flavor in your drinks, then you better try this out! Drinking water is really important, especially in the summer, but, when is it ever satisfying?

Adding a slice of lemon to your water can make this plain drink, into something much more enjoyable!

Health benefits of drinking lemon water:
1. Boosts your immune system: Lemons have a great source of Vitamin C, Citrus Bioflamonoids, and Phytonutrients!
2. Reduces stress: The vitamins and minerals in lemon water aid in reducing oxidative stress.
3. Blemish free skin: Lemons are a natural antiseptic medicine. The high source of Vitamin C helps rejuvenate your skin. That also helps give your face a natural glow. This can also act as a black head curer. Lemon water can also help fade scars if added to the scars.
4. Helps with weight loss: Lukewarm lemon water with honey can especially help with weight loss. Drinking a glass of lemon water in the morning will help boost your mutabulism for the day!
5. Its calorie free: Don't worry about calories! Lemon water is calorie free! Why not have a few glasses if its healthy, and calorie free?

Make your own glass of lemon water:
Its quite simple, actually. All you need is a glass, half a lemon, honey (optional), water, and ice (optional).
The right amount of lemon water is 8 oz. of water, with juice from half a lemon!

Show me pictures of your lemon water! Take a photo and send it to me!
